CURRICULUM & INSTRUCTION FOR EARLY ADOLESCENCE EDUCATION

The student will examine curricular implications of developmental characteristics of middle school/junior high school students (10-14 years). Students will learn to: design and adapt instruction to accommodate the needs of early adolescents including those with disabilities, respond to a range of maturities within and among students, and communicate effectively with individuals from a variety of cultures. Field work is required.
