ENG 2020

BRITISH LITERATURE II

Survey of British literature by both well- and lesser-known writers from the Restoration of 1660 through the present. Through critical reading, analytical writing, and discussion, students study defining genres and themes, historical and cultural contexts that inform literary production, the development of the language, and a range of critical approaches to literary texts.
