EXS 1010

INTRODUCTION TO EXERCISE SCIENCE

This is a survey course designed to introduce the student to the professional field of exercise science. Students will be introduced to topics pertaining to the various disciplines found within the field. These topics will include basic principles and contemporary issues in exercise physiology, biomechanics, sport medicine, ergonomics and cardiac rehabilitation. Student will also be introduced to basic physiological, sport medicine and field testing techniques, certification requirements, and significant leaders in the field.
