FMS 2010

ART OF FILM

The Art of the Film explores the key concepts and vocabulary of the cinema. The course provides an introduction to key areas of critical thinking in film studies, including narrative, aesthetics and genres. Among the areas of concentration are: Film aesthetics: Formalism vs. realism, Film Structure: narrative and narration, defining a film within a genre, the art of the film review.
