HCM 2021

QI and Risk Management in HCM

The course focuses on the business manager’s role in improving healthcare quality and outcomes through improvements in organizational changes, technology assessment, clinical process, and quality assurance practices. The course also includes outcomes research that includes methods, cost-effectiveness, measurement, decision support, quality of life, and improvement management. The course covers the evolution of the accreditation process in driving healthcare delivery and business management improvements. The course examines the various business outcomes, assessment tools, and their reliability and accuracy from both patient and business management and organizational perspectives. Finally, this class will explore ways to guide, direct and assume principal responsibility of the executive suite in the healthcare system.
