FOUNDATIONS TO HISTORICAL STUDIES

Starting with an overview of the discipline of history including how it is practiced and evolved, this course then focuses on the research techniques needed for conducting research and writing in history including the evaluations of sources, literature review, structure and style, and appropriate use and citation of sources. This course also aims to provide students with practical advice on pursuing a career in history. The course is strongly recommended for students who want to go to graduate schools in History and other similar fields.
