HLT 3041

PHARMACOLOGY FOR RNs

This course will focus on the professional nurse's role in drug therapy. The emphasis will be on principles of drug administration, drug regulation/legislation, major drug classifications, pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics. Alternative and complementary modalities are explored. Included in this course are cultural and ethical considerations as well as current issues related to drug therapy.
