HEALTH POLICY FOR NURSES

This course provides basic knowledge and understanding needed to participate in health policy development, analysis, and advocacy in a rapidly changing health care environment. Students will focus on the importance of nursing research in the development of evidence-based policy. Methods of policy analysis and strategies for creating a policy message for the media and policymakers will be developed.
