COMMUNITY HEALTH NURSING FOR RNs

This course will focus on the application of a population health approach to nursing care. There is a strong emphasis on the principles of epidemiology, health promotion, and disease prevention. Social determinants of health, cultural influences, environmental factors, and access to care, particularly for vulnerable populations, as they relate to and affect community health nursing are also examined.
