NUR 5420

Teaching/Learning Strategies

This course explores learning theories, pedagogies, learning styles, health literacy and evaluation methods used in academic and health education settings. Emphasis is on creating an active learning environment for learners from diverse backgrounds and varying abilities. Emphasis is on instructional strategies and innovations for traditional classroom, virtual, simulation, clinical settings, and for population health. Evolving societal, legal, and ethical issues influencing teaching/learning are integral course components.
