Role of the Nurse Educator

This course focuses on transition and socialization into the role of nurse educator. Students will explore the influence of health policy, societal and economic issues, legal and professional qualifications for practicing as a nurse educator in academic and health education settings. Emphasis is on continuous development of the nurse educator, inter-professional collaboration, and functioning in organizations as change agents, leaders, and advocates improving student, patient, and population health outcomes.
