NUR 5600

Practicum in Nursing Education

This course provides students with experiences in academic and clinical specialty settings. Emphasis is on the analysis of the curriculum, application of teaching/learning theory and principles, and utilization of assessments and evaluations that facilitate learner’s cognitive and psychomotor development. An organizational analysis of economic, ethical, legal, professional practice relationships, and accreditation standards in meeting institutional outcomes is an integral component of this course. Requires 120 practice hours; up to 50% may be done in an academic setting.
