SOCIOLOGY OF SEX

This course will explore the relationship among beliefs, values and norms relating to sex on the one hand, and the structure and culture of society on the other hand. Students will apply an historical perspective to learn about the interaction between sexual patterns and societal conditions. They will analyze contemporary sexual values and norms and relate them to current social institutions, including the family, education, and the economy.
