Women in Asian History
Social roles, challenges, and achievements of Asian women, primarily in the 19th and 20th centuries. Emphasis within the larger Asian framework will reflect the knowledge of particular instructors, but typically will highlight two or more contrasting Asian countries to be examined in detail: India, Pakistan, Thailand, Vietnam, Indonesia, the Philippines, China, or Japan; occasionally others.
