Post-Tonal Analytical Techniques

Study and application of theoretical principles and analytical techniques appropriate to the music of the 20th century including neo-tonality, symmetry, atonality, set theory, serialism, minimalism, aleatory techniques, and eclecticism. Open only to Master of Music students who have demonstrated proficiency on graduate music theory diagnostic examination or earned a grade of C or better in MUTC 402
