Application of knowledge and critical thinking skills necessary for safe, quality, patient/family-centered nursing care during the reproductive experience. Focus on care that is developmentally and culturally appropriate. Integration of standards of practice with legal and ethical responsibilities of the nurse as provider of care, designer/manager/coordinator of care and member of a profession. Recognizes the nursing leadership role for the purpose of providing and improving patient care.
