European Archaeology

This course examines human settlement and adaptations in Europe from prehistory beginning in the Paleolithic to the Roman Conquest from an archaeological perspective; introducing students to the archaeological evidence for increasing social complexity and the development of complex societies within the region. We will explore the content and meaning of the development of complex societies in the region, and gain some new understanding of our own society and todays world as a result
