This course provides an introduction to the theories, principles and concepts of crisis intervention, as well as an overview of the fields history and development. Particular attention is given to the various contemporary techniques of crisis intervention and resolution used in community, school, family and individual counseling settings, with the intent of helping students learn the practical skills necessary to work with people in crisis
