Constitutional Litigation Clinic

The Constitutional Litigation Clinic offers eight Chase students a hands-on experience litigating civil rights cases on behalf of prisoners and former offenders in Ohio state and federal courts. The Ohio Justice & Policy Center created this Clinic in partnership with the Greater Cincinnati Foundation and the Salmon P. Chase College of Law at Northern Kentucky University. Students handle all aspects of cases, from client interviews through trials and appellate brief writing and argument. The Constitutional Litigation Clinic requires a year-long commitment. Each student must be certified as a legal intern by the Supreme Court of Ohio. Through this Clinic, students and supervising OJPC attorneys open doors for clients and provide real opportunities for second chances - helping reclaim their lives and restore our communities. Interested students should submit a letter of interest, a transcript, and a writing sample to Sheila Donaldson Johnson, OJPC Office Manager, via email ( sdonaldson@ohiojpc.org ) or by faxing to 513.562.3200
