Strategic Leadership for Informatics

This course exposes students to an integrated set of skills needed in the areas of organizational leadership, communication, marketing and strategy. These skills are foundational to an Informatics professionals understanding of and ability to formulate and communicate business needs and thereby more effectively manage projects, departments and organizations. Subject matter will include, but not be limited to, leadership skills, managing teams and groups of professionals, market segmentation, product positioning, external and internal analysis of the firm, long-range planning, and managing by objectives
