This didactic course will address diagnostic and management issues related to the care of acutely ill adult clients. Pathophysiology as well as psychosocial, cultural, geriatric and genetic influences impacting the assessment, diagnosis and management of common acute illness states resulting in hospitalization will be incorporated. Ethical-legal considerations will also be addressed.
