×Henderson, Nevada
Roseman University of Health Sciences is a private university located in the city of Henderson, Nevada, with a second functioning campus located in South Jordan, Utah. It was founded by Dr. Harry Rosenberg, enrolled its first class in January 2001 and was originally called the Nevada College of Pharmacy and the University of Southern Nevada. The name is a portmanteau of the names of University President Dr. Harry Rosenberg and Pharmacy School Dean Dr. Renee Coffman. Part of the reasoning behind the name change was the fact that the university has a significant presence in Utah, making the former name, which emphasizes Nevada, geographically inaccurate.
