This course examines information systems and their role in business, with focus on productivity softwares, networking, e-commerce, ethics, security, and system infrastructure. Students will apply these concepts and related methods through hands-on projects to develop computer-based solutions to business problems. This course also covers the function and purpose of computer hardware and software, computer programming concepts, employment opportunities, and the social impact of the computer.
