This course will include instruction on how to draft basic pattern pieces from measurements and create advanced slopers for torsos, basic jackets, knits, and create advanced flat pattern design details. Students will be introduced to CAD, computer aided design. Everything that can be done by hand can be done on the computer, including: drawing flats (fashion illustrations of garment designs), pattern mea- suring and adjustments, flat pattern design techniques, “digitizing-in” patterns, grading patterns, layout, marker making, and plotting pattern pieces. The cost per student to participate is approximately $35-$60
