The course will provide the flight training and experience required to allow the addition of an Instrument-Rotorcraft rating to a student’s existing pilot certificate. Course content includes instruction in aircraft systems, Federal Aviation Administration regulations, U.S. Airspace System, weight and balance, aircraft performance, aviation weather, flight publications, radio navigation, cross-country planning and navi- gation, basic attitude instrument flying, instrument approach proce- dures and techniques, and flight safety. The student must complete the appropriate flight lessons and receive FAA Instrument-Airplane certification to satisfactorily complete the course.
