Educational Leadership and Change

This course provides future teacher leaders with the needed skills to collaboratively develop organizational change, reform, and renewal in traditional and nontraditional landscapes. Action plans will be designed based on the study of the theories and assumptions behind school reform efforts and the examination of current and emerging issues impacting education such as demographic shifts; globalization; technology; data-based decision-making; inclusion of diverse learners in American schools; and recent research on student achievement when influenced by race, gender, and poverty.
