Genetics

This course provides a comprehensive study of genetics, from the classical (Mendelian) foundations to the molecular aspects. Pedigree analysis and genetic mapping methods are revealed early in the course. Next, molecular biology topics such as the structure and replication of DNA, how DNA is mutated and repaired, and the regulation of gene expression are reviewed. Finally, applications of recombinant technology, genome analysis, and other current genetic topics are discussed
