Employment and Career Development for Special Populations

This course focuses on developing the knowledge, and skills necessary for the rehabilitation counselor to provide employment and career services. Students are provided an introduction to career development theory and career counseling approaches within the rehabilitation process. Job placement and developmental strategies to facilitate employment of people with disabilities are explored through experiential activities, labor market analysis, a job analysis, and a transferable skills analysis
