CSC 6760

Grid Computing

Evolution of Grid Computing and its relationship to Cluster Computer, Distributed Computing, Internet Computing, and Peerto-Peer Computing. Technologies and architectures used to develop Grids test-bed projects using the Globus Toolkit and other software packages. Focus on understanding the different Grid technologies and architectures, such as the Open Grid Specification Architecture (OGSA) and developing higher-level tools using these technologies.
