The Art Institute of Portland is a former private art school located in Portland, Oregon. It was owned and operated by Dream Center Education Holdings, LLC until it shut down in early 2019.Located in Portland's Pearl District, the school has twelve computer labs, multiple animation and video labs, a recording studio, library, and a public art gallery. The Marcia Policar Gallery at The Art Institute of Portland displays both student work and work of local artists and designers. The gallery openings occur monthly on First Thursday, a Pearl District evening of art shows. The gallery currently exhibits the work of animator Samantha Kays.
