×Anchorage, Alaska•
It's a good school. If you do the homework you will get good grades on the tests. If you're going to school to party, don't go here. It's a small school, teachers are good for the most part. UAA can be a good college if you are very self driven. This is because it can be difficult to meet up with advisors to make a graduation plan.

The University of Alaska - Anchorage is a good school for fast paced learning. However, their support for distant students is limited and the recent restructuring of their system has often left the help lacking.

I think school has a strong Alaska vibe to it. The classroom are mostly small. Most teacher are awesome and easy to work it. Parking is a pain, but getting from one end of campus to the other only takes 15 minutes of brisk walking. There are shuttles available as well which makes it a little easier. The biggest problem I had was signing up for classes and the degreeworks program. It is not very self-explanatory and is not user friendly. Blackboard is also something that is used at UAA and I did not care for that program as well. It would lock up all the time when I used it at school.

I like the college. It is a diverse university and very kind students everywhere you go. The professors are genuinely wonderful because they will always remind you about upcoming deadlines and I believe that they try to help student as much as they possibly can.

UAA is a very close-knitted community and it's likely that people will now each other. My only complaint I have towards the staff/professors is the curriculum. The way they teach their classes is so point based, yet they are offended if you ask for extra credit. They hype everything up as a point game, yet are shocked when you ask for a way to assist in gathering more points. (sure, ok.) A few professors ive had have proven to be quite nosy.

University of Alaska Anchorage is the largest state campus in Alaska. Classroom sizes make it easy to make friends and get one on one help from the professors.

UAA is a good university for in-state students to save money on expensive out-of-state tuition or can provide a good experience for students who live out of Alaska. There is a lot of help throughout the school if it's needed. All professors I had were very kind people and very understanding.

I had a great experience at UAA. The professors are very personable and as a result, understanding that life happens and will work with you if anything happens. The dorms are very minimal l, but are furnished with a desk, bed, dresser, and closets. Like most things in life, everything is first come, first serve, but they provide a lot of GER classes, so those aren't too hard to get into.

UAA is just okay. I like seeing the wildlife around campus, but sadly there are very few professors who are passionate about what they are teaching and the administration is scatter brained.
