×Fairbanks, Alaska•
Never had a problem myself. There are so many ways to get part time jobs on campus.

I am not active in the Greek life and don't know of any of them on campus. Seems nothing ever happens here.

I personally haven't had any issues. There's a good sense of community and school spirit. It has a diverse array of classes available for many majors as well as many helpful instructors.

There are challenging classes that help you grow in your academics. I would say there are more options for those students considering the university is very science oriented.

This is a small campus where people keep to themselves for the most part. But I have never seen anyone on campus using drugs, and have never had to deal with drunk students.

It is an interesting school located in interior Alaska. There is a lot of diversity here and it really feels like home. Would like to see better supplies and equipment

Expensive, Cold, and a Long Walk. Its Not Perfect – It is a great place for out doorsy people.

Everything in UAF is amazing! Overall culture on campus is great, all the professors, faculty, and staff are caring, professional people. I never had a problem with police or campus security. Fairbanks has a fairly active student body and everyone is usually kind and supportive.

I have never heard of anything bad happening on campus besides the students having parties and getting pulled over by the campus police for drunk driving. The only sport here worth attending at all is hockey.
Grant K., Current Student
I have found that the financial aide department has been very helpful when needed. Dorms at UAF are fairly expensive and the freshman dorms are far away from where most classes are.
