Focuses on the human fossil record for the taxon Homo sapiens, including the earliest members of this group (early or archaic Homosapiens), the Neanderthals and so-called anatomically modern Homosapiens. The goal of the course is to survey the major issues within the area of modern human origins, and to learn about the evolutionary relationships, lifeways and behaviors of these groups.
