The Nature of Power

Introduces the major theories of power used in contemporary anthropology, with an emphasis on cross-cultural perspectives. Explores how power is defined, determined and exercised globally and locally and how different systems of power articulate with one another. Note: this course assumes that students have completed ANTH 2102 or equivalent. Cross-listed with ANTH 4180.
