Systematic study of solubility (physical and chemical properties of solutions and the chemistry of acids, bases, pH, and buffer solutions), oxidation or reduction reactions, reaction energetics (thermodynamics and kinetics), and applications of chemistry to environmental, biochemical, and nutritional problems. Concepts are linked to other scientific, mathematical, societal, and pedagogical domains. This course is not applicable toward any degree in the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences
