History of English Language
Examines how English has changed since A.D. 800 through examples of writing from different periods, with attention to the way various groups have enriched our vocabulary and altered our syntax. Note: this course assumes that students have completed ENGL 2070 or one year of college level coursework in a foreign language. Cross-listed with ENGL 5080.
