GEOG 3140

Geography of South America

The physical environment, cultural development, and political instability within the area are analyzed. Influence of the landscape and climate, as well as Iberian cultural and land tenure patterns on historic settlement and modern growth are discussed. Problems associated with population, economics, politics, education, and geography are emphasized. Note: This course may count for the International Studies major or minor.
