Ecotourism
The geographic study of a growing segment in contemporary tourism aimed at the provision of low impact travel to fragile, pristine and usually protected areas with the purpose of directly benefitting local communities and ecological conservation. The course surveys leading destination areas for ecotourism worldwide. GEOG 1302, GEOG 3411 or GEOG 3430 recommended.
