GRMN 4050

Advanced German Phonetics and Language History

Students develop advanced phonetic skills for analyzing the sounds and orthography of German. They apply these skills by examining the diachronic (historic) developments in the grammatical and phonological structures of German over the last two millennia. Note: Taught in German. Note: This course assumes that students have passed GRMN 3050 or equivalent, or possess equivalent proficiency.
