HIST 4850

History in the Community: History Day Mentoring

Directed by CU Denver History faculty, students participate in and judge National History Day in Colorado. They gain teaching experience mentoring students preparing social-studies and literacy-based projects. Their papers are based on scholarly readings and analyses of their experiences in middle and high schools. Note: Students must submit a special processing form completely filled out and signed by the student and faculty member, describing the course expectations, assignments and outcomes, to the CLAS undergraduate advising office for approval
