Victorians and Victorianism
Taking an interdisciplinary perspective, this course examines English people and English life during the reign of Queen Victoria, 1837-1901. What were the defining features of the Victorian age? What did it mean to be Victorian? When and why did the Victorian paradigm break down? Restriction: Restricted to Graduate Level students. Cross-listed with HIST 4046.
