Introduces the design and computer-controlled fabrication of three-dimensional objects using both additive (3D printing) and subtractive (laser cutter, CNC router/mill) processes. Increasingly complex projects throughout the semester using various CAD/CAM software tools will explore design strategies for digital fabrication. Prerequisites: None; no previous design or prototyping experience is expected or required. Cross-listed with IWKS 5170.
