MATH 3301

Introduction to Optimization in Operations Research

Introduces a mathematical approach for decision-making in practice based on optimization. Students will learn to model, analyze and solve a variety of problems from deterministic operations using both continuous and discrete mathematical programming algorithms and software. Note: this course assumes that students have taken MATH 3191 or MATH 3195 or equivalent. Students who have received a grade of B- or better in MATH 3191 or 3195 pass this course at a much higher rate. Term offered: fall.
