MATH 5793

Discrete Math Modeling

Every other year. Focuses on the use of graph theory and combinatorics to solve problems in a wide variety of disciplines. Applications are selected from computer science, communication networks, economics, operations research, and the social, biological and environmental sciences. Note: This course assumes that students have the equivalent of an undergraduate course in linear algebra (e.g., MATH 3191) and graph theory (e.g., MATH 4408). Cross-listed with MATH 4793.
