MATH 7384

Mathematical Probability

Every other year. Measurable spaces, probability measures, random variables, conditional expectations and martingales. Convergence in probability, almost sure convergence, convergence in distribution, limit theorems (law of large numbers, central limit theorem, laws of iterated logarithm). Note: This course assumes that students have the equivalent of undergraduate-level coursework in probability (e.g. MATH 4810) and graduate-level coursework in analysis (e.g. MATH 5070 or 6131).
