Beginning Spanish I

Introduces basic Spanish pronunciation and grammar, useful vocabulary and idioms. Readings and class discussions relating to the Hispanic world. Note: Students may not enroll in any lower division (1000/2000) language skills course in which their level of proficiency exceeds that of the course. Students placing into a course through any means other than following the regular sequence must consult with an appropriate faculty member of the Dept. of Modern Languages prior to enrollment. Term offered: fall, spring, summer.
