SPAN 2130

Current Topics in the Spanish-Speaking World

A fourth-semester course (parallel to 2120) designed for students majoring or minoring in international affairs, but open to anyone wishing to continue the study of Spanish beyond 2110. Along with development of language skills and grammar review, class work involves contemporary topics in cultural, political, economic and social affairs. Note: This course assumes that students have passed SPAN 2110 or equivalent, or have taken three years of high school Spanish, or possess equivalent proficiency. A grade of C- or higher in SPAN 2110 is recommended for success in this course.
