Spanish American Culture and Civilization

Surveys the social, political, economic, religious, literary, and artistic life of Spanish America from the conquest to the present. Note: Taught in Spanish for major and minor credit. Note: This course assumes that students have passed SPAN 2120 or 2130 or equivalent, or have taken four years of high school Spanish, or possess equivalent proficiency. A grade of C- or higher in SPAN 2120 or 2130 is recommended for success in this course.
