University of Detroit Mercy ("Detroit Mercy") is a private, Roman Catholic co-educational university in Detroit, Michigan, United States, sponsored by both the Society of Jesus (the Jesuits) and the Religious Sisters of Mercy. Antoine M. Garibaldi, Ph.D., is the president. Founded in 1877, it is the largest Roman Catholic university in Michigan.
