Modeling of Biological Phenomena

Introduces basic concepts of the development, analysis, and evaluation of mathematical models of biological systems. Demonstrates how modeling related to genetic, biochemical, physiological, and/or ecological systems is performed by combining both biological and mathematical information, with the goal to apply these techniques in the field of translational bioengineering. Sessions will include critical discussion of scientific literature and student presentations on a research project with interaction and feedback from students and faculty
